Detector resales

I know everyone trading in there detectors for the nox 600/800 is hurting the trade in prices. Cause I have called around looking to trade my xterra 705 in for a 800.

What would you give someone with a 705 gold pack in excellent condition with a NEL 7.5 sharpshooter coil on a separate lower shaft. The unit has had a screen/detector cover on it pretty much since day one.

Dude! I'l trade you a carbide coal miners headlamp and a buggy whip! I'm thinking I could use the lower shaft of your rig for a shower curtain rod, and maybe the rest I could sell at the garage sale for $20 or pull the batts for the smoke alarms?...maybe crack the coil for the scrap copper salvage value even? You didnt say dink about the headphones included, so I'm assuming I'd be at a loss...

This is how it goes in the tech upgrade frenzy...Oh piss! ..Buggy whip is gone! Sold! Some person thought it would be a cool thing to have at the Furby party, or to use as a driveway marker? Stick it in the ground Like a Tesoro Compadre!

So OK...you know that carbide coal miners light will easily go to a Steampunker! I'm out..good luck..maybe a Tesoro guy will want to trade you something of value to upgrade?...Like maybe a dowsers rod willow switch? Or a sack of magic beans? If I were you, I'd take that trade!

Or call up Kellyco and see what they have to offer?..maybe go for the Cobra Beach Magnet factory rebuild package?.....

Thanks for being helpful :nothingtoadd:

I wish I hadn’t sold my Excal. I like having antique machines for the history. Same for my Sovereign GT. Both will be missed.
But not by much as I love the performance of the Equinox. The lightweight and speed as well as the tones and display are perfect for my type and area of hunting.
If I found a great deal on an Excal, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Just for old times sake.

Personally I think the Xcal can hold its own since we kind of changed the subject. I think Air testing goes out the window between BBS , FBS, and the Nox. Once they hit the salt water. I may not be able to get the small gold quit as well with the Xcal but thus far depth ain’t much different on gold rings. I think I can pick your pockets just as easy with the Xcal....even in iron. In some ways I find the Nox to recover to fast... if u don’t have the tone right u can miss deep gold among all that chatter. Ive done well with both.
