any smokers ever try...

Love it

Great app, that would definitely keep me motivated!

I'm going on my 73rd day with my egoT. Love it!!! I have an app on my phone called my last cigarette, it keeps a running total for you. Here are my stats:

Since quitting I have saved $1104.93
I have NOT smoked 2,671 cigarettes
My circulation is over 70% improved
My carbon monoxide levels are now that of a non-smoker
There have been 662,036 people that have died from smoking related illness since the day I quit 73 days ago.

I was a smoker for 37 years, and just quit last Sunday using the Metro E cig. Cant believe I waited this long. I'm buying the Ego T next week to have a a backup PV at home. Definitely much healthier, and I'm reducing the nicotine every month. Love the E cig.:D

thanks for all the replies, hearing everyones own experiences is awesome. now i wish i made the switch along time ago. i know just from the short time that i made the switch(thursday nite) that i've only smoked 1 pack of tobacco insted of atleast 4 that i normally would of in 4 days, so basically the starter kit has already paid for itself.

Smoke ruins the health of you and the others around you.

They should ban it entirely.

I've seen a lot of people die from smoking.

Why somebody would want to purchase something that ruins their health and possibly kills them is beyond me.

well i guess when i started smoking 28 yrs ago i was under alot more stress working 2 jobs and going ta school...............something you wouldn't know about

Yeah, it really kept me motivated....there are other features on it that I didn't post, but you get the idea.... You have to enter how much you smoke (for me it was 2 packs a day) and enter the cost per pack as well as your quit date. It does the rest....simple math I guess....but it did help me along the way. When I first quit I would check it every hour lol, now I check it every few weeks....

I really have no desire to pick up a cigg since I started with the ego system. I just kept telling myself, that I am getting my nicotine. Over and over again. It was tough the first few days, but then it got easier as time went on. As long as you are getting nicotine, you are fine, that is the only thing in cigarettes we are addicted to. Nicotine alone has never been linked to illness or cancer. It's all the other stuff like tar, and chemicals in ciggs that cause cancer.

You have motivated me to stop this week..

I started with Vapor King and then got the Riva which haven't gotten the chance to really use. I love Virgin Vapor since their liquid is pure. For awhile I used 0% nic, it was more of he physical addiction of it. I don't know why because I cannot stand the smell! I am going to order some fresh liquid and stop this this week. This time I will not think I can smoke just one analog and not start again.

I keep trying to quit and failing after a couple days. Every time I light up I say to myself, "ok, this is the last one", but then I keep saying that and it goes on forever. At the end of the pack I am holding right now is gone, I am going to make one more hail mary effort to quit cold turkey and then I will get some help. My wife quit over 4 years ago and is pressuring me to do the same. I dont want to do it for her, but for myself especially since I am also an asthmatic.

I do have a very stressful life, but I know I seriously need to quit, both for money and for health.

Sounds great.....maybe order some low nic? I was on 26mg but now I'm down to 16mg. I think 6mg is available too.....very low dose, just to help take the edge off. Just keep telling yourself, "I'm getting my nicotine" and remember that is the only thing you are addicted to. This is a great time to quit, being that it is cold outside. Just think all the times you freeze outside smoking.....the eciggs can be smoked inside the house, with no smell, or second hand smoke. Best of luck!

Vex, it's so hard to quit without help. You should really consider the e ciggs. The help so much. My mother in law was a smoker for over 45 years and she quit with the help of the e cigg and has not had a cigg in over a year. These are so much healthier for you vs regular ciggs. They only contain nicotine, which has never been linked to cause cancer by itself. Or any illness for that matter. Just do it!!!!! Think of how much $$$ you'll save! Put it away for your dream detector!!! :)

PS.....Im sitting here puffing away as we speak!

i normally smoke ultra lights so i went with the 11 mg of nicotine and that seems ta work really good and i really have no cravings. these look just like a cigarette except for being about an inch longer and heavier. its nice that the usb charger, e-cig and refills fit into the e-cig pack which looks just like a regular pack of smokes

This is a great thread! I've been smoking since I was 13 years old. I'm now 38 and have been preparing myself to try to quit. I did have a 5 month stint of getting off of them but, caved in. I could give excuses of work stress, being around others that were smoking but, the truth is-lack of will-power. I've had 4 friends and or family members that have passed in the last 2 years from heart attacts or cancer caused by smoking. I think I'm ready.

i know how ya feel, i started when i was 16 and i'm 45 now. 2 years ago i quit cold turkey and that lasted about a week and that was the worst week ever.....just ask my wife:lol: with these e-cigs i have zero cravings and they cost 1/4 of what i'd be spending on smokes. i take 2 or 3 hits and i'm good for a while, then i just toss it in my pocket.

Good luck on not smoking or trying to quit. However just like the weight loss scams out there, don't get hooked on the 'next best thing' to help you quit. You'll be spending money indefinitely.

I know it's not for everyone, but if my 65 year old mother can quit cold turkey, no smokes for 2 years now, you can too.

That's not true(the cold turkey thing). For some people, it's actually encouraged to have a crutch on the way down...it can give the person time to become more resolute in their decision to quit. I thought I could do it cold, but I ended up using both nicotine gum, and the Ecigs to stave the cravings...to each his own is the best advice here, I think.

Back in 1971 when I was smoking 3+ packs a day my then 3 year old daughter (now a rabid anti smoking Nazi) got very interested in my matches I decided it was time to quit and threw the pack I had out of the car window and never looked back.

I quit about 15 years ago the old fashioned way. i just got up one day and said I will not smoke a cigarette until noon. At noon I said I'd wait until dark.
The 3rd day was the worst. I don't know why but it was tough. After that I never really craved a cigarette.
I also would brush my teeth when I wanted one. It gave my hands something to do and satisfied my taste buds.
Good luck to anyone trying to quit. It is worth it.
