More info V4.
Seems disc setting for breaking nail unchanged from V3.2.
A setting of approx 6 is good here.
Did some checks comparing GB when changing freqs.
Ground minerals here 5 ticks in the meter.
Changing freqs and performing pumping GB over same spot of ground,,,it seems ground phase number will increase one point every time you go down freq wise starting with 18khz.
Test garden results in this same soil,,,indicate to ascertain goodsignal on clad dime at 8" deep,,ground balance very unforgiving,,meaning can be run even at 90 (where this ground reads approx 77 depending on freq used).
To go deeper,,GB more critical,,some test even running 4 points too high,,comprosmied targets being detected at distance over 9" deep.
Deus V4,,based on some more hunting,,,hotter than pistol on lower conductors,,and smaller higher conductors,,,even in carpet of nails.
I seem to be able to smoke out some finds in carpets of nails using V4 reactvity 2.5,,where V3.2 Uaing either reactvity 2 or 3 just wouldn't.
Xy screen data is useful,,especially for a beginner detectorist or even an experienced detectorist new to Deus.
Targets swept that are mixed conductivity,,like even a tab and a dime,,tone will if listened to can indicate this,,,but XY screen,,if folks will watch,,they will see a pattern of lines trying to slightly crisscross when the comingled setups are swept. Depth here can be a factor for more accurate assessment,,the deeper the less accurate or indicative it is when when watching sy screen.
Using 8khz will bring some nance tone wise to some nuasiance targets,,like twist caps,,better be on your game here listening,,,,smashed caps still sound awfully good.
Also,,doing test on top of the ground,,based on what I see,,,these test for whatever reason are not as indicative of what I'm seeing in real world of hunting using V4 in carpets of nails.
I see far less difference in how Deus V4 responds now to irregular shaped targets especially lower conductors vs V3.2. All nonferrous now more on the same playing field using V4 for detection no matter the shape.
Still looks like disc level -2.5 is a good setting to run,,when hunting in areas using full tones with loads of ferrous.
I did do a couple checks lowering disc to - 6.4,,,I sure didn't like what I saw (nail above clad dime, 3D scenario).
I haven't compared V4's ability to provide TID at depth vs 3.2.,, but in my test garden,,I see no clues telling me V4 is better in this department vs 3.2.
