I have found my share of silver coins, this one was a total shock.
Other silver too, this one is a silver Masonic coin, they pop up all over the place on the forums but I have not seen another hunter post about one they found in sterling silver.
Copper, brass, aluminum but most quit supplying these to their members in sterling way back in the 30's to early 40's.
Tons of jewelry in silver, chains, earrings, medallions and many, many rings.
This ring is one of my most favorite.
These three jewelry pieces were very important to me because I learned something on every one.
On this tiny one I learned even silver can come in way lower than most people think...even into iron like this one did.
Here is a much bigger one, the thickest I have dug so far.
A dead on extinction zincoln signal and I mean exact.
Made me think twice about passing by every zinc cent signal assuming they were all going to be zinc.
This big silver bracelet was in the dirt opened and was a high zinc signal.
Out if the ground and closed up it changed to a solid quarter signal.
That taught me about scanning open, broken rings and other targets that are supposed to be complete circles but aren't and how that can change things.
