2017 Coinstar silvers and wheats

Inspired by diggin4clad’s post.

My Coinstar keepers from 2017:

9 silver coins; a huge 1969 Austrian 50 shilling, 4 Washington’s, 3 Rosie’s, a 1968 Canada dime, 7 wheat cents including a steelie and a 1917-D.

Didn’t count how many times I hit up the reject bins but many a time I came up empty for sure, more often than not, but man, when you get the goods it’s good!

I guess a lot of folks don’t realize there were silver coins or wheat cents or don’t care all together, got me, but I’ll clean up :thumbsup:

All these Coinstar threads made me think we need a new "terminology" called "Coinstarring" :laughing:

I have wondered if maybe the Coinstars were it's hard to find left coins that there might be an employee that checks it often and you really have to get there just at the right time after someone uses it but before they check it :lol:

I totally believe employees watch and check them often. When I try they’re mostly empty or a zinc or foreign coin.

Found two silver Rosie’s so far in 2018!

Hey! Great finds for 2017. I never seem to find any silver quarters, just dimes. I did see a lady putting $20's into the Coinstar today. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was buying a gift card. Really?

Awesome!! I got 11 out of Coinstar last year....but oddly my last one was on June 9th.....then no silvers the rest of the year.....really thought I was gonna hit 20 last year...

On a side note....maybe the admins should add a new area just for Coinstar finds....
