Inkwell Cover?

Hi Everyone,

I may have posted this years ago when I first found it, but I'm hoping there's new folks here who can help identify it. I think it's an Inkwell Cover but I can't figure out who or what the marks mean. Hopefully you can see in the photos the stamps are the following B&C each of the three things in an individual block. Then it says sterling then 1036. Any idea? A friend of mine thought the B&C was Brookes and Crookes. Thanks ahead of time.

I can’t seem to pull up the listing, but if you search “sterling 1036” inkwell, one does show up, and says it’s made by B&B, which looks like could be what yours is marked. So I think you are correct.
