Found this brass/copper/bronze type thing in a high school football field sideline. Shown next to a *recently dug* Mercury dime for size reference. Upon close inspection, it looks like two small tabs were broken off the end. I thought "divot tool", but the tabs seem to have been too small to be divot tool prongs. Maybe a fob? The "head" part is fairly thick, and heavy, and has what looks like a Pepsi logo design.
What is it?

I found it! It's a zipper pull broken off a PEPSI leather jacket. At least I had the Pepsi part right.

A thingamajig If ever I saw one. Congrats on the recently dug merc BTW.

So Foragist, how did you come up with the answer (zipper pull) ?
After thinking about it long enough, and eliminating a few wrong ideas, "zipper pull" came to mind. The Pepsi logo sure seemed like a Pepsi logo, so I googlefied the words "Pepsi zipper Pull", and amongst the pages of "not it", there it was! Then I found a couple black leather Pepsi jackets like it on ebay too.

Nice I.D., Blaise! Congrats on the winged liberty head, too! :waytogo:
Thank you! I dig lots of unidentified doodads, but some just make me curious.
