Help to ID this.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I actually just got my first metal detector for Christmas. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this? I found it outside my house, which was built in the 1920s. Thanks, AJ

Its a reed out of some kind of musical instrument. I've found a couple of them too.

I think what you have may be a reed out of an old squeeze box. Check out this site.

You might find more - I found 4 this year at the same site. The pitch is usually stamped into the frame. Looks like yours is an A#.

Those are organ reeds. Accordion/ squeeze box reeds are double reeds as they make sound in both directions.
