Cool find in my back yard, only 2 inch down and in great shape considering, might have been someone's lucky nickel... Date is completely worn off.

Wow never seen any nickel, let alone a buffalo nickel come out of the ground that clean.... This is what they typically look like when you dig them up...

Nice looking Buffalo. I've only found one. Not nearly as pretty as yours!

Nice find. My two came out black. I'm gonna put them in the tumbler and make them look like yours.

You taking your pictures with a mirror or something. Both Obverse and reverse are facing the opposite directions that they should.

Looks like he buffed up his buff , My silver doesn't look that good!
What did you clean that with ? Beutiful coin .

Congrats on the Buff, I still can't find one of them in the dirt to save my life. My kid has found them in his change from school before and brings them home just to torment me since he knows I can't find one.

Why are these coins so rare to find in the dirt? Not saying I have found a bunch by any means, but if memory serves me correctly, this was the first or second coin I dug with my AT Pro last year

Does anyone think the OP's nickel was a recent drop? I don't see how it could be that clean unless it was recently dropped for some reason?

Stranger things have happened I guess. Must have been recently dropped for sure. He did say it was pretty shallow. Or Maybe he tumbled it and polished it somehow. Or... ok, I'll be the one to say it... he's telling a tall tale. :?:

Good way to get your nickels looking like the OP is soaking it in Worcestershire sauce for a few hours... seriously look it up. Made some of my red nickels look new.
