Second day detecting a pre-1895 demolished farmhouse (first day post here).
I got a great "20" signal on the Vanquish 440 near a stone outbuilding foundation. 1891 Indian cent with a square nail.
Rescanned the hole and found a 1917 wheat cent on the surface. I must have launched it out of the hole with my digger. Nice little coin spill.
The Indian cent is in great shape.
Here are the four wheats I found, including the 1917 from the spill.
This is half of a hinged brass makeup compact.
Not sure what the threaded brass thing in the bottom left corner is. Not pictured is my fair share of aluminum junk and a dollar or two in clad, mostly quarters. I think this place has a few more good finds lurking, and maybe even a silver coin if I'm lucky.
