Hi all,
Found this a while back and never could ID it. Rang up about 75 on the Max. Looks similar to a civil war belt buckle but it’s stamped not cast. Also has fine horizontal lines on the background. (It’s somewhat fragile so I just see little bits of the background, I’m afraid to scrub harder) So maybe a buckle for a haversack or a light weight pouch? Heck , maybe its not even military , just a civilian copy.... Site was active from 1848-1885. Thanks in advance for your help !

Military buckle

Thanks for the reply. I went to the Hanoverbrass site you linked. They had one even closer ... maybe a match. Called “ TG-Eagle Sash Two Piece Belt Plate “ . Is a Sash belt plate for a decorative/ornamental belt/sash , not a load bearing belt? That would make more sense that mine is a light stamping. Not sure if the hanoverbrass one is cast or stamped. Also not sure of original dates used or by who.... getting closer tho ! Thanks
