crazy dated old button?

Found this button today, a surface find in a newly planted corn field. The grain drill had popped it up on the surface. Property is from the late 1700's. It appears the backmark, a circle of arrows has with what appears to be a date of 1710 at the bottom. There is what looks like a very small star at the top of the circle of arrows. Date looks more convincing of an actual date in person than the photo shows. I've pulled several buttons including some tombac's from this site but nothing with a backmark like this and I've never seen a button with a date on it. Any and all thoughts welcomed. I suppose it's possible that the button is that old and was just re-used several times till lost. It's missing the shank but looks like it was the typical soldered style. Nothing on the front.
