Found in a lake bed formerly near an old road - have found odd stuff at this locale including sink drain screen, half a sterling pen, part of an opium pipe, silver and wheats… this seems like a thermalcouple but never seen one like this so no clue

Possibly sensor bulb from indoor mount but outdoor reading thermometer?
