Wreckage Week

I laughed so hard reading this thread that what I did in my pants was far worse than what the venison veal did on the blacktop. Mud you got to call the mower repair man from Moline. He not only has extra wheels but also extra toes. Oh! he's a Lucky Strike kinda guy. Glad the move wasn't stressful and to know your wife survived it. Trapper

Mud,you just find the best in a bad situation.Congrats on the gold, and the haul.If I lived closer I’d give you a mower,I’ve got 3 from deceased relatives that are like new.Hey,a guy gotta cut his grass if he wants to go treasure hunting:laughing:..At least that’s what I’m told.lol..

Sounds like things are looking up for you. Finding wreckage instead of BEING wreckage. Sounds like you will be closer to a good detecting location. Don't know about the sailboat though. I hear they are a hole in the water that you pour money into and I can't imagine that being you.:D Best of luck in your new location. Looking forward to see what you "recover".

Wreckage week? Are we supposed to post our shipwreck finds in this thread?
Here's mine:

Thanks guys! I dont ever need a lawnmower ever again! Or a snow shovel, or a fleet of rakes and corresponding leaf hauling tarps! Or gutter cleaning ladders and tools, or an air compressor even..or a furniture dolly, a chimney broom, mole traps, etc....For the rest of my worthless Life, I'm going all Occams Razor!...

I did a 3hr beach hunt this am! Up at 4 and out the door!..you know what I found? About nothing! Just a flat lake and a wonderful sunrise! Sweeping along barefoot and smoking in the darkness! Not a care in the World! It was the best hunt of my Life! Y'all know what I'm talking about...

Sometimes it aint about the findings, its about the beings....

So was it gold? Someone pulled a nice full Pandora bracelet out of GH this week and a gold earing.

How the heck is that scoop still kicking

But back straps on grill will help

That's some seriously tender vittles right there. I bet the tenderloins are like butter. (with a hint of asphalt for flavor)

Hey mud, how much of that meat was salvaged? I've only eaten deer that I shot so i'm curious if the meat jellies up from the car impact like it does from a .308 or .270 round.

dread downsizing

I dread the thought of moving out of my home to smaller digs. My wife want's to do that, but 35 years of stuff to dispose of? Ugh hate to think about it.

But I sure would love to live within 20 minutes of a Florida beach lined by expensive hotels and condo and have chance at some real gold and ice. It would almost be worth the pain of moving.

How much you want for that pirate sloop old man? I could make a nice bit of coin running the spanish main with her for a few years. :pirate2:
:pirate: :tropical:

This little fawn was a super fresh kill!...I was hauling stuff to our new place every 30 minutes round trip, so it was a very fresh and supple freshie!...If I had more time, I woulda done a better job, full skinned and all...but I was up against the clock on getting moved and didnt have no time to dink around with a dead deer..

I did drag the poor little guy off the road, tossed him into the ditch, bowed my head and said a few words in honor of all the fallen roadkilled deer that have given their lives in glory on the asphault battlefield...thats it though..too bad..that spotted hide woulda made for a cool vest...or a set of assless chaps!...

How the heck is that scoop still kicking

It was built right! Keyholed and dovetailed! All pieces lock into and support the others! I've got the makings of another one here that I will build and make a detailed post about someday...Its a good scoop design...

Love the post Mud 👍
And looks like gold to me brother 😎

It might get a little loud tonight so if you need me I'll be hiding under the bed with the dog .
