Yup it's true , I was diddling around trying to build a signal out of nothing as IDX comes cruzing past . He stops right behind me on dirt I just went over . Says , " you gonna dig this ? ". I look at him and say... Da da.... Di .. Dig what? Sir? ... He shook his head and pulled out the most polished blinding monster of a hand digger I had ever seen.
Dropped to a crouch and cut a plug ,, pulled the plug out perfectly !!!! It was at least a 12 inch plug!!!!!! In one piece !!!!
And ShAPED Like an American Eagle with its wings spread !!!!!!
He smiled at me ... 😎 Then without turning on his pin pointer he licked the end of it , stuck it in the hole and..... Pulls it back out with a silver dime stuck to it!!!
Told me to keep practicing . And poof ! He was gone .

This hunt will go down as one of my favorites and all I found was a 1918 Wheatie.

Your right Matt , one of my favorite hunts also . I did not even find a wheatie . 1.59 in clad for me . I had to go out tonight for an hour and prove to myself I can find silver . Got a sweet -1903 barber dime on my second hole and 5 wheaties later and a few clad dimes I was back to reality pulling junk Lol . Oh well. That's diggin .

Thanks Matt for the group picture and all the ID's. Not in this picture because she was taking it is Mike's bride and I C the Lite (PJ) who had another commitment with his family. Trapper

Even though my finds were less than stellar, I had a blast as well. And enjoyed meeting all!

Kona!!!!!! What's that all about ? I had my pie hole full of birthday cake and I was sucking in my tummy the best I could !!!
I was also standing between a couple guys who are built like Olympic swimmers . I gotta move over and stand with the rest of the linebackers so I do not stand out so much .

I feel ya man,we all do most of the time. Considering all the clad coins we find,we think there must have been similar losses back in the day. But the results are sometimes far from expectation,and it seems that a hoard of Mongols has robbed your park clean. Either there's a lot of Mongols running around or past Mongols beat us all to it,save the difficult ones....

Don't take it badly Dew's. You are not alone with some width. After all that is a weight lifters body you have. The picture just does not give you justice. Broad shoulders with mountains of stretched abs. Limbs like tree trunks from the heavy burdens you have carried...... I can see it now, from the refrigerator to the easy chair. You do have a fantastic sence of humor my friend. Trapper
 
Looks like you all had a great time and there were some good finds made! Hopefully this weather continues and we all get in a few more solid hunts!
