If you can believe this, I now have two copper spear points and a copper awl, but I have never found a stone arrowhead. they seem to elude me, because I do spend some time looking in farm fields...
This one is 4-3/4" and you can see the folds from when it was annealed and hammeredYeah, I remember when you found that other one too.. That one is awesome too, my I like this latest one even more...

I am dying to find even one stone pointCongrats on the amazing Copper Culture finds. When I was in Maine, we lived near a Native summer encampment on the Penobscot River. You always keep your head down as you never know. There has been many points found there.

I have read that the Indians stopped using copper for tools and started using it more for ornamentation like beads and bracelets about 3500 years ago. That is an amazing find!!! I have found quite a few flint arrowheads here in GA and it just blows my mind when I find them. Oldest one I've had dated was one my son found aged at around 7500 years go.
I'm curious about how you heard copper was used 4000 years ago? I had always been under the impression that any metal would have been used during the Woodland and Mississippian Era Indians dating back 1000 years?
