besides wasting gas driving all around....to find where all the tot lots are in your area? I don't have kids so I have had no reason to find any tot lots.

I have had a lot of luck just typing in the name of the city or town and "parks" into Google and I usually get the city park department. Some of them have maps, and most of them have a listing of locations and what is in each park. Some of the best ones are the parks off in a secluded area or on dead ends.

Google Earth is the best... you can set it to show all schools and parks. I have even noticed that is shows schools which have long since moved or gone out of business.

Once you locate a tot lot on Google Earth, you can go to Live Local for a great areal shot that gives you a nice birds eye view in most areas.

This might help...

City Phone Books: Parks, Schools, Churches, Clubs
Free City/County Maps: Beaches, Parks, Campgrounds
Visitor Centers: Festivals, Sports Tournments, Concerts, Craft Shows
Library: Genology, City and County History, Platte Maps
Newspaper: Concrete Permits, Articles, Foreclosure Notices, Ads
An Elder Person: Disscussion on the Good Ole Days

Good Luck dpitt8

I like that idea....I shall go try it....any other ideas would be appreciated in the meantime.
