The Rebel and I got out for a day of detecting and without having to drive too far. We hit some forgotten sites that we were at almost fifteen years ago. Back then we wrote them off as "pounded to death " or "trashy as hell ". We have better detectors now and were eager to see what we had missed.
I found a 1775 KGII farthing; a ramrod guide; a bayonet;oxen kanoobies and a mystery item made of lighter metal, perhaps a mechanical pencil. Also found in a stone wall was a large salt glazed brown jug and an early 20th century soda bottle Roger had found and given me because I collect them.

Oh, what a day it was, so many targets! Great job sniffing out the KG!

Looking forward to cleaned up pics of the bayonet to see if there are any marks on it where the base is.

I have old sites that are like that. Thought they were hunted out and knew they were trashy but hunted with older detectors. I am hoping that my XP Deus 2 & I can stumble on some overlooked or hidden good targets. Love that bottle. Is it complete? it looks complete.
