That's very honorable of you. Good job. Back when my wife and I were dating, we started to get onto a freeway and I noticed we had just passed a purse on the entrance ramp. I had her stop and backup to it. It belonged to an asian lady. It had $270 in cash in it, more credit cards than I had ever seen in my life(about 25), her i.d. and everything. We went home and called the police. They sent a cruiser out to pick it up and he was amazed that the cash was in there. He said most people would claim it didn't have any cash. I said "Well, it's not mine to take." Hopefully the officer was as honest. We found out that she had left it on top of her friends car as she was getting in the car at the mall (right beside the entrance ramp). We were glad to have been able to put her worries to rest.
