Looks like I’m going to get a few days out of home base the first week of August. Couple of days on St Augustine beach ...then a few on TYbee in Savanna. I’ll be trying out the MDT on some of those days. Mostly going for the food and a breather.

Good Luck!!

Keep us informed, the Augustine beach gets hammered I'm sure!

Hopefully they leave me something to find. Should be a fun hunt or two. I don’t really mind hunting left overs....give s me a chance to see what the machine digs up on a hunted beach

Nothing is ever really hunted out.

There's a park near me where the sledding hill has been HAMMERED for years and years. Mainly we keep going back for fresh drops in the spring and after the 4th of July.

Last year I found a BEAUTIFUL 1935 buffalo nickel on that sled hill, and I'm sure many people have had their coil over it. There's always something left.

trip!

Have a nice vacation!

Here is the only trip I can afford, yeah that's me!

They may not get hunted out..... but hunters can sure put a hurt on recent drops and targets if something isnt moving and things are getting buried fast.

Not a lot of time for vacation with the grandson living with us. Senior year.... after this we may get a few more trips..... and maybe the local beaches will get a break. Family in Savanna hopefully they wont keep me to busy... if so all my pictures will be of food. Still got S. Beach on my bucket list.... almost went there. By watching one of Gary Ds videos he got 30 lbs of gold one year..... and found gold 9 out of 10 times hunting.

Dew.. come up here... water is nice and toasty in the 70's the benefit of hunting in the mud is you will bring up clams in the scoop and you can eat them right out of the shell using your scoop to crack them open... I can remember fsa46 doing that when we hunted together :)

I've pulled up clams, shrimp, crabs, octopus, sea horse... But would lose my nerve trying to it like that

Now that's a real Pirate!!:pirate2:

Now thats something i dont eat.......slime balls. Im more of a ..... lets go to lunch afterward and have a grouper sandwich. Why does digging in the mud and rocks sound like a lot of work..... even for Pirates? I find if you are going to do that kind of digging you need a wife built like Helga or enough kids to field a ball team who knows how to use a shovel.

Looks like That side of the island might get a good tropical blow next week....never know what it might bring up.

:laughing::laughing: Alpo.....what can i say, i havent worked since i was 50... so i need a vacation from my vacation. Anyone with kids who went on a vacation with um knows what i mean. Life is stressful keeping up with you young folk hunting......after 7 hours .... it does kind of feel like work.

Oh...... any jelly fish issues over there right now? Just wondering if i need a long sleeve shirt?

Thanks Gil....those Holiday Inns seems to produce on most beaches. I plan on taking the detector for a long walk. I’m S. of the main beach area....have to do a little recon.
