I've had my eye on an old house (1930's probably) for some time.
Finally, I met the folks who live there and got permission to hunt
the clothesline.
I met up with the man of the house this morning and before I could
say anything, he said, "Keep whatever you find, just show me what you
find, I'm interested. "
I brought up the idea of hunting the whole yard and having him help
me when he can and he seemed to like that idea.
So, they left me alone, going off to work or somewhere. The yard is
very pleasant because it's ungroomed, has a country feel, but the
heat was a bit much this morning and I had to stop for another morning
before I was really tired out.
I scoured the clothesline but the only things of interest were two old buttons,
and a 1947 penny. I love buttons and the larger one is a keeper.
I'm looking forward to what the yard might hold. Did I say I love this hobby?
