Sunday, 1940 half dollar.
Monday, 1897 half dollar.
Tuesday, 1917 Rosie, Sterling silver religious pendant.
These are only a few of my finds. This park has been VERY good to me.
But finding two silver halves on two consecutive days is almost unheard of.
The 1897 half was not dropped, it was buried. There was a flat rock 1 foot by 1 foot, by 3 inches thick sitting directly over the half. I removed the rock, dug down 5 inches, and behold, a1897 half.
So in essence, I found a buried treasure.

This ain't even fair! Take his detector away! Congrats on the halves. Especially the barber half, them rarely surface. Nice!!!

Haven't thought about someone hiding something valuable under a stone....makes sense. Great finds, you are on a roll at that spot. Keep swinging.

Man, keep that park location to yourself. Word gets out, there would be scores of detectorists hitting it.

I usually hunt alone. Nice to bring people along after the fact.😁
