Took the dog

I took the dog with me on the first hunt of the year. He was great no problem at all, but it turns out he does not sniff out coins gold valuables pretty much anything that I was looking for. First picture he’s looking back thinking. hope he’s not mad at me for not finding anything. Second picture he’s looking at me happy thinking didn’t we have fun? And we did. Other dogs came by and they played for a while. Kids came by and he’s an easy dog so they had fun with him and overall a good fun time. on the way back walking through the trails kids had a lemonade stand set up. So we got a lemonade turns out the dog likes lemonade. The things you learn when you’re out and about.

I always take my corgi when I hunt, but that dog barely takes her eyes off of me.

I have a new adoption and there are lots of deer, rabbits, vermin and other distractions that we usually follow when walking in the area that we have tried metal detecting in - lets face it for a dog a herd of deer vs. a beeping headset the deer are going to win all day. I'm going to get a different lead and go to a different area (schoolyard) to detect.

Well,got to the age 84 where its harder to part with your best friend .

Dog are cool. Looks like he had fun.
I wish I had my camera. My little cat follows me around when I'm detecting in the yard.
The first time she did, I was digging in a plug hole. She came over and stuck her little nose and head down in the hole looking around. Whatcha doing? She still does it. Love it.

If you want to know who loves you more, your wife or your dog there is a test for that.
To do the test you lock your wife and dog in the bathroom for a few hours then open the door and see who is happy to see you. Works every time
