.... and let the matter die quickly.....
He'll always claim he was wronged,....
Sadly, the average couch-potato reader buys into conspiracy claims like this. Because The general public has a subconscious distrust for government. America's favorite hobby is to gripe about our public officials & LEO agencies. And think that all cops and politicians are corrupt, blah blah blah
For example: Why do you think that as stupid & silly Roswell and area 51 conspiracy theories are, yet : So many people tune in to watch silly documentaries on that ? Ie.: That the govt. is supposedly 'hiding secrets' from us . All you need is William Shatner's cool oration ability voice, a few raised eyebrows, and presto : IT MUST BE TRUE !
So too is it with the Dents Run nonsense : The moment you toss in the FBI conspiracy claim, then : Common sense goes out the window. No one's looking as deeply as GoDeep's excellent research. Instead, the moment any salacious claim gets laid out about G-men, then .... by golly ... it MUST be true !
We are wired to LOVE conspiracy theories. Especially when it comes to treasure, since .......... No one wants to be laughed at all the way to the bank.
So this human psychology trait is going to make it difficult for Dennis to let go. Same reason why no one has let Oak Island go even after 150+ yrs. Because no one can resist a good treasure conspiracy theory.
Hopefully this one is different, and the skeptical pushback enters the mainstream.
