The FBI Files: Dents Run Civil War Gold

When they lose this case, the government should bill them for all the time, effort and money spent to deal with this tall tale.

Paraphrasing Dennis: "My magical metal detecting device told me there was nine tons of gold in the ground and tons of silver as well, but the corrupt FBI came in and dug it all up under the cloak of darkness." That statement alone should have ended this case on day one...

Yes. The moment that magic wands were alluded to way back at the start, then: G-men (of any stripe) should have known right-then to dismiss this. Think of all the headache and expense they would have saved themselves and the tax-payer ?

And yes : It's frivolous vexatious litigation like this that robs the "little guy" of his day-in-court. Ie.: there are LEGITIMATE matters that need their day in court. So when junk like this comes along, IS THE VERY REASON that legal channels are "riddled with red tape". And then the little-guy, with a legit legal issue, is left standing in line getting the short-shrift. And wondering why the red-tape is so thick.

It is PRECISELY to weed out nonsense stuff like this. So now : Everyone suffers. And yes : I hope that Uncle Sam is reimbursed. I don't want my taxpayer dollars going to pay-for-this.

I think all frivolous lawsuits should be handled the same way. If it's proven you are trying to defraud someone with a lawsuit you should have to pay the costs. It would cut out a lot of BS.

Check this out, getting pretty desperate to drum up a story. He must have not had cameras up there when I was up there last fall or he if he did, he didn't want to bring it up because he knew it'd bring me into the fold and he can't B.S. me....

I mean, his claims beg so many questions:

1. If you wanted to examine the site without being identified, why wouldn't you wear a mask, just in case your jammers didn't work? I mean, this is the FBI, they sure are incompetent buffoons and amateurs when it's convenient for his story, but mastermind tacticians when they pull off the heist of the century right under his nose!

2. If you were going to use jammers, you wouldn't walk in front of the cameras first and allow yourself to be videoed and photographed, and then turn on your jammers mid way thru!

3. The pics show no evidence of jamming, but they do show evidence of foggy lenses.

Its great to see some people pushing back, but he'll soon delete their comments, mark my words....

I noticed that thread o his FB page. More BS! He is just trying to jen-up some new conspiracy crap about the Big Bad Guberment!

What do you expect when 50% of the population of this country has below-average IQ and reasoning skills...

It's easier to believe in an almost perfectly enacted conspiracy involving thousands of conspirators at all levels of government without anyone willing to defect and provide a shred of actual evidence than to think the base premise may be false...

The link is not working as of now. But if I'm understanding what it is supposed to be about :

They are rookies in avoiding trail and game and security cameras. *NOT* that I would have any first hand experience of needing to avoid cameras in our hobby (ahem ahem), but .... just sayin' .... they're rookies. :cool3:

He posted up pictures from this spring of some guys poking around the dents run site and since they are blurry, he's claiming they were using camera jammers.

He can't seem to fathom that since he's publicized this across the entire nation, people actually come to the site to poke around!

I wonder if you were got on his “Candid Camera” when you visited?

Most of the comments are very negative......they will brush this under the rug fairly quickly.

It certainly didn't go as they hoped when father and son dreamed up this story to stoke intrest in their dying story.

The person or people caught on their cam heard about the story and since it is public land decided to go check it out for themselves.....case closed.

There are multiple references in the Pradas replies that are right out of their treasure story playbook.
They want to tell more but their lawyers are forcing them to be quiet.....this is one of their favorites.

Another reply was that was they found lots of murdered Union soldiers.
Finding graves is almost always included with their treasure finds.

Yes, I was surprised to read the amount of pushback he received; it was refreshing for once.

He also keeps pushing this narrative that he's going to change the history of the civil war as we know it. To date (30+ years and counting), he hasn't provided one single piece of tangible, verifiable evidence to support these claims.

If he did, he probably suspected it was me, so he just kept quiet as he didn't want to engage me as he knows we over here have substantial, verifiable evidence that shows that not only was no gold found, but that he's been dishonest in trying to perpetuate the claim that they did find gold.

Also, another "elephant in the room":

He again repeats that he "can't say anything because his attorneys told him not to". Yet that claim is so obviously betrayed by his own actions, as for 10 years, he's been posting videos, pictures and making 1000's of posts and accusations nonstop. I mean, he literally just posted up recent trail cam pictures, made unfounded accusations, claimed there were jammers and then within a few posts when pressed, claims "we can't say anything".

It's a lie, its just a cover up for why, when pressed for actual verifiable concrete evidence, he can't post it. The truth is, he has nothing but speculation, conspiracy theories and accusations.

Easily explained by the time stamps in the video clips now posted. At 5:03pm there would still be enough natural light to produce color images. By 5:22 and 5:27pm the natural light has faded enough so the trail cam is using IR flash and the images are now produced in black and white.
