Great hunt for first time out. That St. George is cool! You normally see those as a solid pendant.

Yeah that coil size here is tough. Still have it on the DFX and BHID300. And was on my two dualfields i sold. Be okay in the wet sand. Current and waves not worth the shoulder pain.

Not a bad idea. Heck i like the excal 800 water hunting more most days. Can hunt for hours. The 1000 i walk out the water about 5 times and take a break.

There is no sharks or riff raff on the beach at night... when big minus tides happen each month during the winter you hunt when you can..

Hows the depth on the 7.5 compared to the stock coil. I wonder if a 8 inch garrett LS mono coil would work? I know some PI's can swap coils.

"most coils are only good for 5 feet" im good then i only have 2 feet.

Ive always liked a 9" coil for water hunting..... just not enough of um.
