I went to a local flea market where I bought an interesting relic. I wanted to go back in time and play a little not worrying about programming my three Equinoxes or my Deus2. Anyone have experiences with this Garrett Ace Freedom Plus?

No experience with that model here, but congrats on a cool flea market pick-up…that scoop has sure seen better days, but the detector looks great, maybe barely used? Enjoy your blast from the past!

Hope you find the article I sent you., interesting, Can't believe you have the box for that detector yet ! It wasn't cheap, and think it was made in the late 1980's.

It's in great shape and it even has the instructional vhs videotape! It could be fun to have the beep and dig mentality if you let it and just take it for what it is. It's a basic machine with some level of discrimination. It sounds like it was a good machine back when. Now if I can locate a vcr.......

I had one for years. Fun little detector. It will hit hard on coins. Just set disc where you’re comfortable.

Oh if I'm not mistaken Lesie from Nova Scotia has or has used one with excellent results. Don't ever discount the older detectors. Good going. I would like to get a Garrett ADS-7 as that machine found me a lot of good finds.
