Two finds from yesterday from well worked ground. Stock and larger coils could find no more but a drop in coil size allowed two small coins to be found.
The hammered copper is a rose farthing (quarter of a penny) of about 1640. The other coin is a silver one and a half pence of 1884. Shocking condition but is really rare in the U.K. as they were all exported to the colonies. Looks like this came back as a charm which has totally devalued it.
