Guys & gals it has been a bit since I've got out & got a short hunt.
I went out looking for a old site my dad & others had told me about. Acquired permission from the land owner.
Land owner said he can barely remember the big Ole 2 story house as a kid & he is 70.
Well after walking around for a hour searching for the iron patch with my detector I finally started finding a few things.
I think this is going to be a old site & I got a feeling it is going to produce some swell finds.
Dug lots of iron to kinda verify age & site. Dug some wagon wheel nuts.
A WR Patent lock its got a crown on it. It is made by William Rex somewhere between 1830-1837 I believe.
Also found some wooden yoke hardware.
Some kinda of trigger guard locking thing. Thinking maybe part of a old leather draw gage. It's brass or bronze.
Lmao I not going to even show the truck load of big iron I Dug. But I want it gone.
It's a soybean field & I want to better even the odds of finding the GOOD STUFF!
