Question about pictures

Is it possible to make it so a picture can be clicked on 3 or 4 times to magnify them to bring out more detail on them?
I have seen it done on another forum where you can click on an area and keep clicking to magnify on one area or click on and drag to the area that you want to see.

Here are a couple keyboard shortcuts that work to zoom in/out on most pages/images:
Hold in 'CTRL' and press the '+' key to zoom in
Hold in 'CTRL' and press the '-' key to zoom out
Hold in 'CTRL' and press the '0' key to return to normal size

What? To me that is as clear as mud. Can you click anywhere on a picture and magnify that area, then click on another area and magnify that area?
If you can't do that, than as you magnify the picture you end up cropping the picture and you don't get the area magnified that you want to see.

I'm sorry for the confusion. Sometimes it does allow you to be able to click on the image, and then click again on the area you want to zoom in on. On some pictures this doesn't work though.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that we are not able to do this because of the limit on how large a picture can be uploaded. I won't give up looking into this though.
