Howdy folks, I have indeed read a few of the threads about gloves for the hobby, but none seemed to have much info about padded, fingerless leather gloves?

The ground here in AZ in hard as rock often, and I tend to put a lot of pressure, especially using my palm... on my digger... I had been using a pair of my old weight lifting gloves (actually I only use the glove for my digging hand, lol)... and it did a decent job.... but that glove is pretty worn now... before I but another one similar, figured I'd check with ya'll and see if there were any ones ya'll liked... again, I prefer fingerless, and pam padded is a must, leather is probably best in terms of lasting.

Anyways, thoughts and suggestions etc, appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Hunting!

Most wear gloves to keep from being cut by glass or sharp pieces of metal uncovered while detecting. Fingerless gloves would defeat that purpose.

Thanks guys, yeah, I know it would be best/safest to use fingered gloves... had tried that a few years back, but found too hot here in AZ... so I usually am real careful about reaching/feeling around for items... but I do find the Padded palm gloves a good compromise as it helps with the amount of pressure I put on the palm of my hand... yeah, will probably get a set of leather cycle gloves.

Thanks folks & Happy Hunting
