I went 45 minutes away from where I live to search for older places to look at, because I find them so interesting. We finally came across a church over 100 years old in Worthville, Kentucky. I still haven't got my metal detector, but found some VERY interesting finds. The organ I put in the pictures was made sometime in the 1800's according to some of the sites I found, but I still can not figure out how old the piano is. I'm thinking I should go back and get these and possibly restore them!! Do you think it would be worth it? This church still had all the old chairs, the main cross, and several OLD posters on the walls. I was pretty amazed when I walked in to see both an organ and a piano!!! Please leave me some feedback I need to know if it's worth going back and getting these, especially since the organ is from the 1800's!

I'm trying to post these pics but it's telling me the file size is too large. Is there anyway to make these pics smaller? I really want to get them on here so you can see what I saw!!

Hi grogmug, welcome to the forum. Do you have a photo editing software? You can use it to reduce the size of you pics.

here are the pics of church along with the inside, the 1800's organ (I think)-I also included the name on the organ in case someone can find out some info on it for me, and the unknown piano...which is in very good shape..also looks old.

WOW!!
In england that would of already been turned into a really nice house let alone the organ still being there!!

once again wow!!

Need to find who owns the stuff first or it is bad old fashioned stealing!!

The city owns it...the place has been flooded a couple of times in the last 100 years. We talked to the people that live next to it and they told us the city has the rights to us..so is it worth getting this organ/piano, I've really been thinking about it.

If you can get it. I would. The keys alone are probably made out of real ivory and they are worth it if nothing else is. If the organ has been flooded, It's shot.

If I could LEGALLY get it and had a place to put it, it would be mine. Think, antiques.
