Well it has been THREE days. Minelab never posted my comment and it looks like they are standing by their statement that the Equinox obsoletes ALL single frequency machines.
All we have is hype and marketing jargon. Another HONEST user states that it finds a lot of small foil and aluminum on the beach. So it will find the same at campgrounds.
I guess it will all depend on where you hunt how good it will be for you.
It will not obsolete the Fisher 1280X or the Tesoro Tiger Shark. I can prove that if anyone wants to let me borrow theirs.
I don't understand what you are really after.
Real easy decision here for you and all other folks.
Buy a Nox if you like or don't.
Is Nox any good?
Well last nite I ordered a second one to go with the one I have now.
Maybe one day if you decide not to purchase you will get to be near one when detecting.
I guess we call all sit back and watch this spring and summer and see what is found using the Nox.
I don't water hunt. May start though. I'll let you guess why.
I have seen percentage wise few Nox buyers who are disgusted with their purchase.
And how many are on classifieds?
And if one does get posted there, it won't be there long if price is reasonable.
And I don't think this is temporary thingy either, will last a while.
Minelab dropped the Nox out of airplane at major detecting detector event.
They did this for a reason.
I think I know the reason why since using my unit, and having some other specific model units comparing.
My info posted on Nox is as accurate and HONEST as I know how to report.
My comments have been reviewed by one engineer, who happens to be tester prerelease of Nox. He seems to think my testing and comments are worthy.
So folks have options.
Lot of detector models to choose from.
I wish everyone the best no matter what they use or purchase.
And my comments on this forum as far as Nox are here for record for folks to judge for accuracy.
If for whatever reason I need to change something I have posted, I will leave original comments intact, will add by using word EDITED, will add edited info and state the reason for my edit.
