Hey gang, I only got out for a couple of hunts this week. With the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow, I will be busy through the weekend so I won't be able to hunt for a while at all. I went up to a turn of the century park, and dug some good stuff. I dug my 500th silver coin of the year, and it was a pretty good one. A 1912 sharp Barber quarter. 500 silver coins is a pretty good mark for this generation of detecting, and not to mention with the bad winter weather we get here in Western NY with the lake effect snow and cold temperatures, it limits my time detecting during the winter weather months. So 500 is a pretty good mark for me. I dug a dime trifecta on one of the hunts and I also dug some nice Buffalo nickels, both with readable dates of 1919, and the one even has a mint mark. Quite possibly the find of the week for me though was this nice turn of the century looking sterling silver brooch. It has a nice maple leaf design, and is marked sterling with three hallmarks. I can't seem to break the code on them, if any body can help me identify them, I would appreciate it, thanks. Well, thanks for looking Everyone, and have a great and safe Thanksgiving, enjoy some football, turkey, and some great family time. Also have a great weekend and HH Everyone!
