A landscaper got me in where a Wedding and live music venue is going to have their lawn redone. They are doing it in three sections that are about 30 yards square each.
I got started today, and have about a week before they rototill.
So far I'm hitting a target every two feet or so, but most of what I have dug up has been penny's.
Surprisingly I have not dug up much trash. The Venue sells beer and wine by the glass so not many pop tabs. I did find a couple of the 1970s pull tabs.
The highest number of junk so far has been stainless steel staples. They give a faint signal like a nickel.
But not one piece of jewelry yet.
Once they rototill I can go back over it to see what else pops up.
I'm going to have to start using a shovel, the hand digger is wearing out my wrist. I'll post up a pic near the end of the week. DR

Hit it, hit it hard. Got to be something good in there. After rototilling there may be something brought to the surface as well. GL&HH

I got my first two FDR silver dimes!
They are so dark I mistook them for penny's! I also found 2 war nickels.
Sunday I dug 50 holes, today I dug another 35. My hands and wrists are sore from digging, but I'm not giving up till its been rototilled! The Bartender that's been there since the 80's doesn't remember anyone hunting this ever.
I still have not found any jewelry, and very little trash. DR

So today the landscapers were unloading equipment and broke a water main.
I got the job of tracing the electrical wiring for the irrigation valves and found 4 more sprinkler valves that had been buried.
This got me some cash and a couple extra days before they rototill.

Is it odd that I still have not found any kind of jewelry? I have a pile of change, a couple keys, and a fingernail clipper.
I found a 60's Mustang key. It has a mustang on it with cuts only on one side so I'm guessing 1960's.
