I had a chocolate lab several years ago. He was a big boy at 108#. Just a big baby.

Yesterday I noticed him chewing on my surround sound mini speaker wire , this evening he chewed through , had to re due
now he will sleep in my room , put another 4 inch memory foam bed out , he's attacking my tennis shoe as I type , got a full plate this time , he's ringing the door potty bell now , and cries to go out , about 50/50 on doing business in vs out , he's cat napping during today , probably a long night , here is the pick of the evening , happy hunting , currently now , Earl

My dogs are kennel trained. They know when bedtime is and ask to be put to bed. They also go right in when they think we are leaving. It makes life much easier.

Don't lock him in yet , he will be forced to do the business in it , potty training now , leaving the crate closed, leads to more mess besides your tile floor , carpet would be a night mare , I will train Storm better than my last , before he eats up my last shoe

Agree , it has been 7 months since I had to put my other Chessie down , there wasn't a day go by without me missing Shogun , unfortunately a large dogs life is only on average 10 year's , my xs dog died in Dec . 9 1/2 cancer , my last 7.3 cancer , hopefully I.will get 10 out of Storm , after Storm I will be an old man , than my cockatto will watch me die. Storm is the best thing in my life now , happy once again , all memories with Shogun now , I loved

Put a door bell strap on the door , pet smart 10 bucks , ring it every time you take the dog out , this morning after eating Storm rang the door bell , I carried him out , he s--- twice , still.50/50 , I guess blader development plays a roll , he made 4 hours sleeping in my room without going , he also is crying at the door , great news , maybe the reason your dog

We did the same thing with the bell. We did put a pad near the bell in case he couldn't wait to go. It didn't take long before he figured it out and the pad was not needed.

Thought I posted it earlier, attached.
I got a sod section for the backyard last night. So far she goes to it and does the duty. I’ll get the bell as I taught her to scratch the sliding glass door and it probably will scratch it. We need to focus on crate training too. She will sleep in it if we are around.
