I need a charger for a Minelab SlimPack NiMH battery pack - 9.6V 1800 mAh. I have an E-Trac metal detector. Thanks.

I have an E-Trac, Sun Ray Super Charger SR-12 and a Sun Ray X-1 pinpointer that I recently removed from by closet after several years of not using it. I found my Slimpack and battery pack holder missing. I received a new Slimpack (1800 mAh) and found that the diameter of the pin connection on my SR-12 did not fit the pin hole on the SlimPack. I guess the pin connection decreased in size from the original 1600mAh Slimpack. How or where can I get some type of pin adapter to make the connection?

Sent you a message. Maybe you can't receive them yet. Both an Etrac wall charger, and a car charger for $20 shipped...

It looks like your wall charger is rated at 15v output. It is not compatible to my 9.6 volt battery pack. Thanks for the reply.
I have always used that same wall charger to charge my 9.6v 1600mah SlimPacks and done so for years. My charger does show a 15V output. I always figured the regulator managed it all. Jm2c

Why is the SR-12 even in this equation? The diameter of the stock Minelab chargers wire connector, rated at 15v output, will be just fine. The SR-12 connection is not important, not for simply charging the Minelab battery.

My original E-Trac battery & charger are just like TexHunter's. 15v 100mA

I now have the RNB ML-3100 Li-Ion battery.
I own a computer generated battery holder, made way back before the war, in Ukraine using just three 18650 3000Mah batteries, in my Etrac. Holder cost under $30. Batteries made a total cost of under $50. Prices on these old Etrac/Minelab battery packs is crazy IMPO. Damn, nearly a hundred dollars. I never drained that pack. Too many new ML machines since then, but I could easily hunt with my Etrac and Explorers with that pack, right now.

It's an Etrac charger from Minelab... PayPal or USPS Money Order, or personal check will work. Let me know how you want to pay... Email me at: texhunter at 70falcon dot com...
