Rained a little this morning and now it's just damp, windy, and on the cool side. I decided to visit my old site and tried a very difficult place to hunt. A hillside with an angle of about 45 degrees with wet leaves and loose sand. Quite the challenge but it paid off. I fumbled around for about two hours before I had, had enough mountain goat antics and headed for home. Not a bad day with two silver quarters, a 63D Washington and a 1952 Canadian. I also found a sterling dangle earring. Thanks for looking.

Nice triple! WTG hoser for hitting the difficult spots. Was this your first time back there with your new to you Legend? Your timing was perfect as it coincides with the release of V1.17.

Thanks buddy. I have hunted around this portion as it is a nasty hillside. You would need baseball or football cleats to be able to walk up there without busting your rearend. This was actually the first time I played mountain goat. In answer to your question, yep, first time with the Legend.

Glad to hear your finding stuff with your new detector . :chaplin:  😛 I know how much you liked your E-Trac !!

Very nice finds hoser! Those King George the 6th silvers are a fun find. Way to play mountain goat and get the goods!

Congratulations on the triple silver! I love hunting hillsides despite the challenges. Sledding hills (few and far between in my part of Texas) and hilly areas near parks or amphitheaters are often productive unless they've already been pounded.

great hunt. I remember an old timer once told me at hunted out sites hunt the most difficult or unlikely areas like sides of hills and heavy brush if possible. He said most detectorists avoid those areas.

Very nice hunt......3 silver in one hunt is a good hunt any day.
ONE silver is a good day .. I can't remember the last multi silver day ..
Digging is pretty fruitless for me in the last couple yrs ... it's even hard to get excited for a day out .. I'm kinda just letting the desire to dig just fade away and only check finds from people who are lucky enough and have permissions ...

I'm happy nowadays just to be able to get out for awhile. If by chance I find something silver it's frosting on the cake. If all I get is clad, that's OK because at the end of the year I buy silver coins with my clad finds.

Great job on persistence Hoser. It's hard enough hunting the high bank lots in our area with the slopes from the flat down to the sidewalk, but doing a large expanse makes my knees and ankles hurt just thinking about it. Congrats on the silver success.
