My Initial Thoughts on the Equinox 800. BEWARE

Now that I have a lot more time with the toy, I will say it is doing a good job. One thing I really liked about the E-Trac was the ability to download a program that someone else made and use it right away.

When I first got the E-Trac, I downloaded Mr. Bills Trashy Park program. I have used it exclusively. That is why my E-Trac is so quiet in the parks I hunt in.

I did quiet the Nox down to a level I am comfortable with, however it is not near as quiet as my E-Trac. I guess the next step is to notch undesirable targets out.

But as I said. I am comfortable with the sounds it makes now.

I have found 76 wheat cents with it and 20 silver coins. I have a 1947 Canadian dime and a 1944 war nickel from yesterday not posted yet.



On land it is working just fine. The water test will be in about a month from now. Maybe sooner if I decide to wade.

I think so. I love the silver coins out of the ground. A lot better than the black disks I get out of the water. Although I do find a lot more of them in the water than in the ground.

I can't wait to get this thing in the Detroit River!
