Not to steal the thunder of this guy's EPIC gold find Surfmaster.... but most hardcore hunters on the Westcoast have ALL found a gold coin.....!

I know 8 or 9 guys here @ Monterey bay that have found gold coins. During past erosion episodes. 4 of my 16 gold coins were beach erosion finds : Monterey to Marina beach area. I've heard of one from Watsonville, and several from the Santa Cruz area, another off of Carmel, another off of Asilomar, etc.....

I've heard of a few tame ones being found on Southern CA beaches after storm erosion too (and .... of course .... several more mounted in jewelry in So. CA)
