What on earth goes on in people's heads?View attachment 588585 I went to the local supermarket this morning to pick up the Sunday paper and of course while I was there I checked the Coinstar machine. I could see that the tray was full of coins so I started scooping and I could see that most of the coins were half dollars. After I got home I checked the coins and found an almost new 1942 Mercury Dime, a 1968-D 40% silver Kennedy, and a 1953 Ben Franklin half. There were also 20 clad Kennedys (a full roll) in the haul. Merry Christmas from Coinstar to me !
I responded to your post on this same thread in another site.Who the heck leaves Half Dollars in the reject bin?!?
Apparently not too much......What on earth goes on in people's heads?
Thanks Mike.....best haul ever !Great for you, simply amazing.
too_
I have to disagree because I've seen adults leave coins in these machines. It just goes to show you how stupid people are now a day. Had to be a kid who stole them because I can't think or imagine an adult being that dumb. JMO. Good job.

The biggest haul since I've been checking Coinstars.WOW! that is a mega coinstar haul!
Congrats! I am glad a detectorist who can appreciate it got those.
There are some goofy acting people in the world today.
So many people who lack common sense.

Thanks.....Boom yeah! Nice one!
I find it hard to believe that all these coins would be left in the tray. Definitely a case of being there at the right time. Two minutes alter and they might have been scooped up by someone else.Amazing and I wouldn't believe it if I saw that reject bin myself. Good for you right place at the right time!
