rare find indeed! Maybe some kid stole a roll from his papa and had to hide it somewhere? If there was a 1958 in there then that means it was buried/lost 1958 or later. still 50 pennies would buy a lot of candy back then.

The most I ever found in a hole was 6 1920-56.

That is really awesome. I found a coin purse once full of wheats. Can't recall how many but it was fun digging them all from a concentrated area.
