We finally had a dry week so I could get to a remote site way off the road. I hunted for an hour and found a shot '61 Penny but not much else. I headed towards the truck and started finding a few things. I dug some big iron and hit another 94 on the Simplex and decided to dig it. It was a brass dog statuette. Then most of a pocket watch was the next signal, then a flat button. I was on fire for 10 minutes then the storm hit. I had to hightail it out or be stuck. May have to hike back in before they plant corn. The dog weighs in at 14 ounces.
