Thanks Carol it hard for me to stay out very long at a time but I have fun . yes the wheats did surprise me we had hunted that yard once before that and only found clad the first time , been back once since then and didn't find anymore will try it again soon . Got a little clad at park today but just a little will wait till got some others to go with it . Rained a little yesterday so helped our ground a little .

Well, I struck out again today. Nary a coin. Took the Cibola out for a walk, started in the woods and wound up in a field. Then it started pouring and I headed back.
I ought to just put a raincoat on and head for the park, but gee the ground is still awful hard to dig.

It was hard here till the last couple weeks and its rained a few times and softened it up some . I didn't do any good this week eather went to old farm house again but nothing but relic junk no coins . It rained again today and last night too so everything was wet. Maybe next week . Theres a craft festival going on in the park this weekend so maybe they will leave some goodies for me . I got permission to hunt a old church area but have to wait till I can get a friend to go with me its got alot of weeds and bee's inside the building, an since I don't walk real well want someone with me when I try it . ok Carol good luck hope you get some rain it has cooled up alot here this last week .

I need alot of help . Got attacked today in a tot lot . Teacher turned a kindergarten class out on me . the little rascals were out there like a flash of lightning, they were grabbing my digger and pin pointer wanting to know what this . The teacher came out and ask me if I could come back some other time , she was nice about it . It was a old play ground and I didn't think they used it for a school anymore but guess I was wrong .Anyway I packed up and headed out before the kids took everything I had . lol
Also it would help if we could find some one to kidnap the two leading teams till after November 30th then they can release them . Harold

It finally rained - hit the park 10-7-08

Well we finally got a drenching, and I didn't waste any time making my way to the park. I detected for 6 hrs! and came away with "not much"

I started out in the totlot, and found a couple pennies and a couple dimes, and the keyring thing. Then I went outside of the totlot and hit some swings nearby. Most of the coins were under the slide.

I also did a quick check of the old volleyball court and found the 2 matchbox cars buried 5 inches down, and a quarter.

Anyway today I am soooo sore. Oh my gosh, dirt digging is a lot harder than beach digging. I found using the Whites Bullseye invaluable!

Oldest coin is a 1960 Lincoln , along with a 1982 Canadian cent

So how many clad coins do I need before I make 1 point?

I'm amazed that I didn't even find any junk jewelry. But as you can see it's a pretty big park... and there's always a next time.

Looks like you did pretty good our park is low producing also and I haven't found any jewelery either . Heres the points we have to go by . Make sure you put the Control number at the top it is FMDF-08
and the number of points has to be in there also then send a im to Tinky telling the score you posted and the total we have posted with yours added to it . You did good Carol every little bit helps ..
