Meaty 14K white gold ring

Nice ring Larry... glad you got out..
Thanks Craig!
:dingding: That's a great looking ring and start to the year! You never know what's going to come up in unexpected places.
Hopefully we can keep our State clean from all the gold litter this year!
Congrats on an awesome find!
Thak you!
Congrats on the hefty gold!
Thanks GS
Absolutely could use for a boat anchor, NICE!!

Mark in Michigan
Thanks Mark!
In all my years of MDing I have never seen a ring like this one!

Great find Pal!!

CJ

PS; Amazing pics!!
What are you using for a camera?
Cell phone doesn't actually take good pics. Using a magnifier USB light with the outer ring sometimes lit up and sometimes shut off. This ring will blind you in person.
Very nice, you nailed it!!
Thanks Kansashunter!

That thing is beautiful Larry. I've never found anything of value on a volleyball court. Maybe because the other hunters always hit them and keep them cleaned out. Your right about the beaches being slow this time of the year. I hunted for 5 hours yesterday morning and got about 15 coins, 3 matchbox cars and two junker rings. Braved the water for an hour and found zero/nada. But at least my new 15" coil got broke in on the rings even if they were junk.

Those stones could be CZ's?

Hopefully the Northeaster will help us out? Didn't look good at the beaches I scouted yesterday. Added an extra foot of sand in one day. Found a fake marked gold chain twice at volleyball courts. Never found real gold before. Have found some silver. Under blacklight appears the stones don't light up. Probably CZ? If the sand doesn't move off the beaches I may be traveling raking volleyball courts.

I just checked the radar and the storm is only an hour or two away from me now out in the gulf. Nice defined line of thunder storms. Hope it doesn't kick up the water enough to transplant more dune sand on the beach from our recently rebuilt dunes over here. Low tide was around 2:30 this morning and high tide isn't until 6:30 this evening, so I think we'll be alright.

Already raining here. That also makes the VB courts even wet sand. Our beaches went from looking like a grader leveled them to 6 months pregnant in one day. Hopefully this storm induces labor:laughing:

Glad to knock gold out early this year. Last year was rough. Beaches are real tough to detect right now. Hit a beach and only got 1 quarter on the trail out. Tested a real trashy VB court. First target was a beaver tail pull ring. Second target was this gold ring. Thought it was junk except for the weight feeling in the hand. Just got a new acid testing kit. Stones test fake. But the gold held 14k. To be honest I have found a whole lot of fake marked gold. They all had bigger stamps in them. The small gold k stamps have always been real so far. The fake stuff they want to try and fool you even with bad eyes.

Hit the area with the Deus ll thirteen inch coil and found this. Switched to the Manticore, but my experience in hours is a whole lot more on the D2. Gonna go back and hit this place with the Jewelry rake I got from the Ukraine, The Deus ll nine inch coil and 3 different brand pinpointers. I figure after I rake this place most of the pile I can bring home in 5 gallon buckets and search it. This place has some serious garbage. That scale on the Manticore was not working for me today. Had to swing slower than almost humanly possible in this junk. Guy I saw hitting this place with a new detector he got for Christmas said he was sending it back because he thought it was broke.:shock:View attachment 589540View attachment 589541View attachment 589542View attachment 589543
