Glad to knock gold out early this year. Last year was rough. Beaches are real tough to detect right now. Hit a beach and only got 1 quarter on the trail out. Tested a real trashy VB court. First target was a beaver tail pull ring. Second target was this gold ring. Thought it was junk except for the weight feeling in the hand. Just got a new acid testing kit. Stones test fake. But the gold held 14k. To be honest I have found a whole lot of fake marked gold. They all had bigger stamps in them. The small gold k stamps have always been real so far. The fake stuff they want to try and fool you even with bad eyes.

Hit the area with the Deus ll thirteen inch coil and found this. Switched to the Manticore, but my experience in hours is a whole lot more on the D2. Gonna go back and hit this place with the Jewelry rake I got from the Ukraine, The Deus ll nine inch coil and 3 different brand pinpointers. I figure after I rake this place most of the pile I can bring home in 5 gallon buckets and search it. This place has some serious garbage. That scale on the Manticore was not working for me today. Had to swing slower than almost humanly possible in this junk. Guy I saw hitting this place with a new detector he got for Christmas said he was sending it back because he thought it was broke.

Nice score Larry , as far as your Deus with the larger coil vs the Mantore stock performance , your choice but I'd pleed the 5th until you try the M-15 , ya your getting more coverage with the Deus 13 , but depth comparisons remains un- clear 😉 👌

This spot would be better with a 6" coil due to so many targets per swing. You can go over 15 targets in 1 swing. And if you remember all the gold numbers I sent you the Manticore hits on, you could block the other stuff out. In other words I'm not going back hunting for silver at this point.

Ya reckon that one is a melter? The inside of the ring is triggering my trypophobia!!

I still have those numbers Larry , and will use them when I get out , the M-8 might be your ticket there on the Manticore , those hockey puck only get so deep , however my F75se with the 5 inch I pulled 9-10 inch dimes all day in dirt , News flash it appears that the M-8 & M-15 are still hard to land , over 1 year later , ML dropped the ball 🙃

WOW! Meaty indeed!! Keep at it Larry!
Thank you sir! Gold luck!
good show. Congratz.

Yes it is a melter. I usually hold these a year in case I find an owner. Then I'd pull whatever stones these are out. If you don't, a gold refiner will rip you off pretty bad if you can't keep them honest. I use a refiner I can watch the scale with them.
WOW! That is an awesome ring to say the least. It be a beauty eh!:waytogo:
Thanks Hoser!
Super, congrats :rofl2: :rofl2:

A honker is a great way to start a new year - congrats!!! :wow:
Thanks a lot George! Gold luck this year. Don't let Romy get it all with that big coil.

You get an M8 I might rent it from you:shock:
Very nice. That looks like a very unique ring going by the setting. Different from what I've seen. Could be sapphires , idk ? Take it to the jeweler. You might have something there.
Used to have a gemologist we used who trained other gemologists. Now he charges out the kazoo just to look at anything. They probably aren't glass. But I don't know what they could be? May be a tester for that me and someone can split the cost on to check these?

:dingding: That's a great looking ring and start to the year! You never know what's going to come up in unexpected places.

In all my years of MDing I have never seen a ring like this one!

Great find Pal!!

PS; Amazing pics!!
