After a couple hours in the water I finally gave up on trying to find some exposures of older material and decided to give the sanded-in areas a try. Almost right away I got a sweet signal and a nice shiny O in the scoop. Lots of prying eyes around so I popped it in the pocket without looking at it. Half an hour later another bigger and hefty ring - same story. Then later, a bright claddagh ring in the scoop that I knew must be silver. When I got back to the car and looked at the rings, big letdown. Two tungsten rings - beautiful and bright but not gold! At least the claddagh is a good solid .925. These must all have been recent drops because they look like they just left the jewelry store. No gold, but the silver saved a skunk, and I have to admit that the tungtens are really good looking rings. I'll call it a good day!
