I just received my BS in Chemistry from the University of Missouri St. Louis this past May! I'm so excited, but I am even more excited that my ACE 250 is coming Wednesday! Now I have to find a job. :( But maybe, just maybe MDing may be lucrative enough for me to live off of... Probably not, but one can only hope! Thanks to everyone for welcoming me to this forum.

Congrats on both your Grad. and your new Ace.Dont get your hopes to high but it is a fun hobby

Doesn't it feel so good to be graduated? Haha. I myself finished school in October 07, so less than a year ago. Got my degree in IT/Networking and Security Management. Use that degree and get a rockin' job!

If you're still living at home take your time finding the right job! ;) That way you'll have lots of extra time having your hobby supported by your parents. You can go out of the house looking like your dressed to interview (but keep an extra set of metal detecting clothes in the car!):lol:

I only wish that was the case. I am on my own now. So now I can live however I want to since I'm not under their roof anymore. :p They did tell me I am foolish for spending that much on a metal detector (they said I should have bought groceries or something with it). "Honestly, mom I'm fine with instant noodles!"

Mom: "But there's so much sodium in it."
me: "Actually, it's sodium chloride a.k.a. salt."
Mom: "Ok, whatever that means; it's just bad for you."

That's usually how it goes. My defense was, it gives me chance to get out of the house, get some exercise, and find some treasure!

If we lived around each other we'd be dangerous... wayyy too much alike.

You should come down here and metal detect with me. You're more than welcome to crash at my place. I have enough instant noodles/microwavable food to share. I live in a one bedroom apartment, it's pretty cool, only costs $470/mo. My motto: Go cheap on clothes, car, housing, and food while blowing out your budget on electronics, tech toys, and other miscellaneous cool gadgets. :p

Now if I can only find a woman who shares those exact same values we'd be all set! Any takers? ;)

Haha, effin' A man! And yes, blow that money on electronics... in the past 4 months I splurged on a 52" LCD HD TV, PS3, XBOX360 & Wii, few other things. Oddly enough... I had enough left over to have a steak dinner instead of Cup O Noodles, haha.

Speaking of the instant noodles, every night a midnight when I get off shift here on the boat, Chicken flavored Ramen with some dice onions, little pepper, some tabasco... crunchwrap supreme baby! (g2g, good to go) haha.

NICE! What's the brand, make, and model of that sweet LCD you got? I just bought a 46" Samsung LCD HD TV with a 25000:1 contrast ratio last November and am already upgrading to the new line 52" Samsung LCD HD TV with a 100000:1 contrast ratio! I can't wait. I told the guy who is buying it I am throwing in my XBox 360 as a bonus (got it on Amazon.com the day after Thanksgiving for $100 a couple of years ago). You really should get a PS3 man, blu-ray HD kicks a$$!

I do have PS3, you just missed it in my post... and yes, Blu-Ray does rock nads. I have like 30 Blu-Ray movies already, haha. The TV is a Philips 52PFL7422D/37, which is a 10000:1 ratio (100000 is like, human eye dynamic contrast, haha. you added too many zeros, haha, unless you didn't?).

Nope, I didn't! It IS 100,000:1 or you can get the 650 Series which is like 50,000:1 contrast ratio. The backlight on this puppy is so bright it's like a nuclear bomb flash, bright enough to burn your retinas to a crisp... I don't have that many movies yet (but I am eagerly awaiting Transformers due out Sept. 2nd and also Iron Man). Were you a supporter of HD-DVD prior to its death?

Were you a supporter of HD-DVD prior to its death?

Abso-effin-lutely not. When both came out, I was behind Sony and Blu-Ray 100%... they had the foundation to win out, HD-DVD had crap. I mean, why would you even try to go up against Sony, who, not only has their own Motion Picture company to release titles on, but rights to like EVERYTHING! HD-DVD was bound to die.
