I'm new to Florida. I'm planning a trip to Daytona to metal detect. What are some good areas along the beaches to hunt? Where was most of the beach erosion? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There is a youtube channel by a guy who hunts Daytona Beach exclusively. It's called "I Dig Daytona".
Maybe watch some of his most current videos for some ideas. I lived there in the 60's as a young kid (no detector). I think all the beach areas there got eroded this past storm. Some houses were on the brink of falling into the ocean.
Go where you see the most people is always a good place to start. A lot of surfers hang out at the jetties of Ponce De Leon inlet where the best waves form.
