When I got to the beach approximately 3 hours before low tide, conditions were a tad bit worse that what I was expecting. Workable, but not ideal. It was nearly 2 hours of “slamma jamma” where waves would come in and pound me a few feet away. It was in this 1st half of the hunt when I was working nearshore that I picked up the 2 high end Samsung cell phones. No matter how the rest of my low target hunt went, I knew my day was productive. On my way back over the next 2.5 hours, I worked a little more offshore. This is where the 2 Ray-Ban’s came that are in excellent condition. I would then pick up a 3rd pair of sunglasses - that were also in great shape, but I was not familiar with the brand. However, I did believe they were special though. I now thought I had a very good hunt for my day! Just under the 4-hour mark I get another target. After the 1st scoop, I switched over to “discriminate” and got a mid-tone. I really believed for some reason that I was going to see a gold in my scoop. When I lift the scoop up I noticed a round circle of perfection! :dingding: When I plucked it out I immediately noticed it was heavy and would not be silver or stainless steel. I could not help myself, and 5 minutes later I would take it out of the pouch and try to read the inside of the ring. I saw come script, but the only thing I could make out was “PLAT”. :bouncy:A good hunt had now become a great hunt for me!

When I got to my car, I got my jeweler’s loupe and saw some initials on the plat ring and “25th Anniversary” and a year. At home, I weighed it and it was 8.6 grams. I also had my son look up the mystery sunglasses and they are a brand called “Gentle Monster” and retail for about $270 new. :gettinmoney:(Hopefully, I can get $100 on eBay for them). I can’t comment on the condition of the phones yet as I gave them a warm soapy freshwater rinse and put them in a Ziploc bag with rice. I will let them sit for 2 days. In any case, whether they power up or not, they will go up on eBay and should be worth a decent amount. Next week I’m on Spring Break, but the surf will be getting rough for most of the week, so I may head out again tomorrow. :good:

Nice hunt Felix, but ring only fits if it goes over the knuckle and not in front of it...
You want me to put it on my pinky then so it'll fit? :p:lol:
Dang bro . King Of Bling must have you excited , top right gold raybans :waytogo: , did you dip in the seaweed ?
Although there was some seaweed, it was ordinary. I am really dreading what I fear is coming. If it is anything like it was a few years ago its going to really suck hunting down here for some months.
Felix you did outstanding! Ya'll really do good where you're at. Well done.
Funny, but I was the only pirate in the water. I saw 3 others working the wet sand. I guess they were afraid of the conditions. I did speak to "Ben" from Delray and he told me that he had found a gold and silver ring and a silver chain working the wet sand and just above the tide line.

I'm gonna let you slide this time sonny lol..

Cool hunt Felix and all your finds. Cellphones look xlnt. I now keep any sunglasses in decent shape to investigate later. Some of these weird brands are worth some money. But a harder sell as they are not popular.

This has been my best selling pair and they were missing the lenses when I found them almost exactly 5 years ago.

How do you manage to get to your beach that particular area is a nightmare!
